The Art of Sequencing

When someone has put thought and time into the prep work for a yoga class, it shows. Whether you are looking to teach others or simply spice up your own at-home practice, if you are looking to learn more about crafting safe and creative sequencing this workshop is for you. To create this workshop I combined highlights, tips, and tricks of trainings and workshops I’ve taken over the years, to bring you a simple and reliable way to design your classes. Every teacher and every student is different. It is important to me that you develop your own voice, and hone in what makes your own classes special. Special attention will be paid to develop your skills and your unique style.

This workshop includes a 2.5-hour sequencing lecture and interactive exercise, followed by a 30-minute private sequencing and mentoring review with me.

Through this workshop you will gain:

  • Simple tips and tricks to elevate your yoga class;

  • Confidence in organizing your class intelligently;

  • Familiarity with theming;

  • A step-by-step template to safely and creatively build up to a “peak” posture;

  • A greater understanding of muscle groups in relation to the physical yoga practice {asana};

  • A one-on-one mentoring review of your own sequence, with me.

RYT-200 certification would be helpful, it is certainly not required. This class counts towards 3 Yoga Alliance Continuing Education (CE) Hours.

Investment: $75

Time commitment: 3 hours

Testimonials:

"If you're new to yoga sequencing or are looking to polish your skills, I HIGHLY recommend LT's sequencing workshop.”

“I attended her workshop virtually in the Spring of 2020 and it completely changed my perspective and confidence in sequencing a vinyasa yoga class (something I'd previously doubted my capabilities in for a long time). LT is warm, welcoming, highly knowledgeable and very passionate about yoga and yoga asana. In her workshop she diligently breaks down key aspects of sequencing into a very approachable and replicable format that I now use every time I write a vinyasa class. She makes everyone in attendance feel welcome and heard, answering any and all questions. She even peppers in helpful tips and tricks about balancing out the body throughout the practice, music and theme setting. As a huge fan and admirer of LT's yoga classes, it was an honor to learn from her directly and get a glimpse of how she weaves together her own dynamic and engaging sequences. I'm very happy to share that I've written many sequences of my own since her workshop and look forward to teaching them to my students soon! To anyone considering, my advice - don't think twice, sign up today!!"
